Join Latinas en Bici for an exhilarating Día de Muertos Bike Ride fundraising event on November 2, 2024, from 9:30am to 1pm at Shiloh Square in Springdale, AR! This event celebrates the long-standing tradition of Día de Muertos, a unique blend of ancient customs and modern practices. Originating from indigenous cultures such as the Aztecs, Día de Muertos has evolved over centuries into a joyful celebration of life and memory. Today, people across Mexico and Latin America honor their loved ones by creating colorful altars, hosting family gatherings, and enjoying lively parades filled with costumes, music, and food.
For experienced cyclists, this 31.6-mile route starts at 9:30am and costs $30. Inspired by the spirit of adventure and perseverance, this ride will take you through a challenging yet rewarding route. This ride is for seasoned riders. Please bring a taillight for ride

Inspired by the iconic La Catrina, this 16.1-mile ride begins at 10:00am and costs $20. Ideal for intermediate cyclists, this route provides a fun and moderately challenging ride.

Latinas en Bici proudly presents the Tour de Frida – a vibrant celebration of art, culture, and community in Northwest Arkansas.

Location: Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art, Bentonville, Arkansas
Join us for a day of exploration and joy as we honor the iconic Frida Kahlo and the rich tapestry of the Latinx community. Whether you're an avid cyclist or a newcomer to the pedals, all are welcome to participate in this unforgettable event.
Our journey begins at Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art, where we'll embark on four different bike rides through Bentonville's scenic trails and bike-friendly streets.
Bike Ride Start Times:
Road and Gravel: 7 am
Mountain: 8 am
Family Ride: 9 am
After our exhilarating rides, the festivities continue with food, drinks, music, and family-friendly activities in a fun outdoor setting at Crystal Bridges from 10:am-12:00pm.
Frida enthusiasts, don your finest attire and decorate your bicycles to pay homage to the spirit of this extraordinary artist. And if cycling isn't your forte, join us for a social morning and discover the inspiring work Latinas en Bici is doing in the community.
As a nonprofit organization, Latinas en Bici is committed to promoting cycling as a source of empowerment and joy for Latinx women in Northwest Arkansas. Proceeds from the Tour de Frida will support our mission and help us acquire equipment to transport bicycles for our organization. Together, let's pedal towards a brighter, more inclusive future.

Latinitas Mountain Biking Camp - Summer 2024
Join Us for an Adventure on Two Wheels!
Are you ready for an exciting summer filled with fun, friendship, and mountain biking? Our Latina Girls Mountain Biking Camp is the perfect opportunity for girls aged 7-13 to learn new skills, build confidence, and make lasting memories!
Camp Details:
Schedule: Once a week on Mondays, 6:30 pm - 8:00 pm. July 15, 22, 29, and August 5 (Celebration Party on August 12)
Locations:
July 15, 22: Slaughter Pen Trail Systems, Bentonville
July 29, August 5, party on August 12: The Railyard, Rogers
What You'll Learn:
Fundamental mountain biking skills including:
Body position
Braking
Shifting
Cornering
Gain confidence and improve your biking abilities in a supportive and fun environment.
Camp Goals:
Have a blast riding the trails with new friends.
Build essential biking skills and self-confidence.
Foster new friendships and a love for mountain biking.
Requirements:
Must be comfortable riding a bike on pavement.
Should be able to ride at least half a mile on pavement.
Extras:
Bikes will be provided if needed.
Each participant will receive a custom Latinitas jersey included in the price.
